Ruinart, Champagne
The oldest Champagne house, established in 1729 and consistently one of the most elegant and well-balanced non vintage bubblies on the market, due in part to the high percentage (at least 40%) of Chardonnay in the blend and also the inclusion of 25% reserve wines. It shows a rich, soft mousse; a citrus, creamy, biscuity nose followed by a fresh red berry, leafy, yeasty, brioche(y) palate. A long-time favourite of ours.
