Tenuta J. Hofstatter, Trentino - Alto Adige
From the excellently-situated Barthenau vineyard which also produces the estate's prizes Vigna S. Urbano Pinot Nero, this predominantly Pinot Bianco blend (with 25% Chardonnay and a splash each of Sauvignon and Riesling) is a wonderfully complex and elegant white. Concentrated white stone fruits, exotic spices and minerals are balanced by an almost unctuous mid-palate oiliness and zesty acidity.
