Tenuta J. Hofstatter, Trentino - Alto Adige
This very well put together Bordeaux blend works on many levels. Along with the obligatory ripe Merlot fruit there is good complexity and balance here from the more structured Cabernet influence. Plums, damsons and hints of mint and cedar are present. Sufficiently hedonistic to be easily enjoyed, it nonetheless merits more rumination if time and company permits.
