Terre di Balbia, Calabria
A deeply-coloured, richly exotic indigenous varietal blend from the Venica family's joint venture with Silvio Caputo in Calabria. Very dark damson fruit, with broad tannins and mocha, dried capsicum and roasted coffee bean flavours. The 2006 vintage is particularly impressive as the fruit takes on greater complexity and the balance is weighted more towards the superior Gagliopp grape.
