Our Estates by Region
a moveable feast offers bespoke, guided vineyard tours to Italy for committed gastronomes and oenophiles in groups of 6-8. Concentrating on those areas less exploited for tourism but boasting a fine gastronomic heritage we currently offer 2-3 night trips to four regions: Piemonte; Verona, Trentino and Alto Adige; Friuli and The Veneto; and also Tuscany. The trips are offered as all-inclusive (on the ground) weekend breaks or can form a section of your extended holiday to the region. All wine, Tasting Dinners, vineyard visits and tastings, accommodation, airport transfers, and transport to and from the estates are included in the price. We will also advise you on recommended flights.
The company is in a unique position in that it represents in the UK the wine estates visited on each trip, thus our groups are guaranteed a level of personal attention and at a price that other simple tour operators cannot offer. We do not organise tastings at producers of the basic, rustic products, agreeable in situ but quite forgettable, that form the staple fare of many small vineyard tours package. Rather, a moveable feast ltd boasts critically-lauded estates for its tours including Villa Sparina, Cascina Pellerino, Castello di Neive, Brovia, and Famiglia Anselma (Piedmont); La Giaretta, San Leonardo, Hofstatter and Elena Walch (Verona, Trentino and Alto Adige); Castello di Spessa, Le Vigne di Zamo and Venica & Venica (Friuli); and Castellare, Mastojanni, Valdicava, Castello del Terriccio (Tuscany).
Unlike so much Provencal rosé (for example), these are wines that travel and will appeal back in the UK as much as when consumed on your holiday, in their picturesque surroundings. So we offer all wines tried from our portfolio at a preferential rate for our tour clients on their return.
Other options include our combined cultural tour to Verona and Garda (including wine tastings and trips to the opera at L’Arena and Modern Art Gallery in Rovereto) and our combined wine tour and cookery school experience in Venice and Friuli. We also offer guided trips to the Champagne region and are even putting together a package in South Africa’s winelands.
